fruit. is a thoughtfully created space for queer women | FLINTA* seeking meaningful connection, refined aesthetics, and a relaxed yet intentional atmosphere.

We gather in some of Berlin’s most beautiful venues – for afterworks, daytime drinks, wine tastings, parties, and other memorable moments.

Each event takes place in a carefully chosen location (often still a hidden gem), perfectly attuned to the intimate and welcoming mood of the day or evening. In doing so, we also introduce unique places that are worth a visit in their own right.

Instead of loud techno crowds or stage performances, you’ll find genuine conversations, uplifting house music (deep, groove, disco, soul, funk), carefully crafted cocktails, and occasionally, exquisite food.

We aim to create a warm, safe space where presence meets authenticity and real connections can flourish. And like delicate fruit, small things need care. These gatherings aren’t meant to grow in size, but in depth – ripening slowly and blooming with your support: whether through tickets, donations, kind words, shares, or simply by showing up.

THE IDEA.

fruit. isn’t just a name, it’s a reclamation.

For decades, it was whispered as a slur - used to belittle and silence those who didn’t fit. Aimed at the femme boys, the flamboyant ones, the outsiders, and at women who were “too masculine,” “too independent,” or anyone who dared to live outside the norms. Gentle and subtle, yet it cut deep.

“Don’t be such a fruit.”

Beyond queerness, the name carried other layers of judgment. Forbidden fruit painted women’s desire as dangerous. Low-hanging fruit reduced us to something easy, consumable. Soft, ripe, ready - words that turned bodies into objects, temptations to be controlled, differences to be mocked.

Today, we take it back. The name stands for diversity - like fruit, our community is vibrant in color, rich in texture, and full of soul. Each person ripens in their own time, unfolding naturally into their true self. fruit is no longer a word of shame, but a celebration of self-determination - bold, playful, unapologetic.

For every queer woman | FLINTA* whose difference was once called “wrong” and who now wears it as her greatest strength.

THE NAME.

fruit. was born in 2024, but its roots reach back much further.

We’ve been part of Berlin’s queer scene since 2009. We’ve danced, organized, supported, and watched parties, bars, and collectives come and go - some legendary, others fleeting.

But over time, something changed. We grew older, and what once fulfilled us started to feel different. The clubs became too loud, too late, too young - the bars too quiet, too distant. And somehow, even in a city like Berlin, there was no space that truly felt right anymore.

At the same time, we watched how the city’s scene kept evolving, mainly for straight crowds. Coffee raves, stranger dinners, rooftop gatherings. There was always something new to discover. But in the queer world, the options stayed narrow: parties or bars, loud or quiet, nothing in between.

We wanted that too: intentional experiences, ever-changing, but safe and shared with people we truly want to be around. Events that value intimacy over scale, presence over performance - and lift you up instead of draining you. All of this in aesthetic spaces, where design and high-quality drinks are never an afterthought.

That’s how and why fruit. came to life: as a continuation of everything we’ve learned, loved, and lived - shaped by experience, carried by care.

THE ORIGIN.

Luisa (she/her) is 39 years old, originally from Düsseldorf, and has called Berlin home since 2009. With a Master’s degree in Sport and Event Management, she has spent over a decade curating and organizing experiences.

In parallel, she was deeply rooted in Berlin’s nightlife, working as a bartender in venues like OHM, Tresor, Katerholzig, Hoppetosse, and Club der Visionäre.

The joy of hosting has always been a part of her life - from small pre-drink gatherings, to multi-course dinner evenings, to spontaneous afterhours at her apartment. She loves bringing people together, across circles, scenes, and nights. What excites her most is the moment when strangers start to bond and a room suddenly feels warm because the energy aligns.

Her background blends creativity and structure, from organizing cultural events to designing spaces that foster a sense of belonging. Over the years, she has developed a deep understanding of how atmosphere, aesthetics, and hospitality intertwine.

fruit. grew out of her wish to create something lasting: a place where elegance meets authenticity, design and community belong together, and connection unfolds effortlessly.
